Grapes from our Single vineyard in Cru Moncucco-Cavino in Mombercelli.
The training system is Guyot and the average density per hectare is 5,000 plants.
Vinification:
the alcoholic fermentation lasts for 10-12 days in vertical vinification tanks in steel with dayli pumping over to facilitate the extraction of the color. Also the malolactic fermentation is carried out in steel. The aging, lasting about 18 months, is divided between steel, Tonneaux and Barriques.
Description:
Intense ruby red color, deep with clear purple reflections.
Intense, powerful and rich, with dark and ripe fruits of plum and cherries. Secondary aroma brings hints of tobacco, vanilla, chocolate and spice.
A highly concentrated and full-bodied Barbera with medium to high acidity and rounded tannins. e wine has a rich fruity taste. Perfect balance already gives a savory mouthfeel. A powerful Barbera that can be enjoyed now but will also develop very well over the next 10-15 years.
